Alkalinity + Human Health


Life on earth depends on appropriate pH levels in and around living organisms and cells. Human life requires a tightly controlled pH level in the range of about 7.4 (a slightly alkaline range of 7.35 to 7.45) to survive.

Our pH is measured on a scale ranging from 0-14 with 0 being the most acidic and 14 being the most alkaline. In order to transport oxygen throughout the body, our blood needs to maintain a pH level of approximately 7.35. Even though our bodies store excess alkaline reserves to buffer acids, if you’re eating a conventional diet filled with pesticides and processed foods, your reserve has likely depleted.

Simply put, active hydrogen molecules neutralize free radicals. The more free radicals we neutralize, the more toxins we can effectively flush from our system. Active hydrogen helps to create an alkaline buffer in the blood stream, so that if you do consume something acidic, it is neutralized.

Kangen water the best water available for hydrating the body as well as controlling acidosis due to it’s oxidation reduction, micro-clustered molecules and alkaline state. Acidosis is caused by an overproduction or overconsumption of acid that builds up in the blood. As Keiichi Morishita explains in his book "Hidden Truth of Cancer,"  as your blood's pH becomes too acidic, your body will move this acidic substances from the blood to your cells, allowing the blood to return to a healthy pH level of 7.35. As a result, all of these cells become too acidic and in some cases, begin to die. The cells that survive however, become abnormal cells that cannot correspond with your brain or DNA memory code, typically referred to as “malignant” cells, which will continuously grow. The principles of pH therapy are very simple, according to many.  The metabolism of cancer cells have a very narrow pH tolerance for cellular proliferation (between 6.5 and 7.5). If you can interfere with cancer cell metabolism by either lowering or raising the internal cancer cell pH, you can theoretically stop cancer progression. (source)


Dis-ease cannot survive in an Alkaline environment…

An acidic pH can result from many things, such as emotional stress or toxic overload, but most commonly results from an acid-forming diet. Viruses, bacteria, yeast, mold, fungus, candida and cancer cells thrive in an acidic, low oxygen, low pH environment. When our pH levels are too acidic, the body will compensate for acid by using alkaline minerals, calcium from our bones or acid found in our stomach. This is the cause of most chronic diseases. If there are not enough minerals in the diet to compensate, a build-up of acids in the cells will occur, aka acidosis

*Lemon juice in its natural state is acidic with a pH of about 2, but once metabolized it actually becomes alkaline with a pH well above 7. So, outside the body, anyone can see that lemon juice is very acidic. However, once fully digested, it's effect is proven to be alkalizing with many health benefits.

The difference between Alkaline water & Alkalized water

Alkaline Water has gone through a CHEMICAL change. The waters pH has been inorganically raised above 7.0 by adding in synthetic minerals like magnesium, calcium, and baking soda. If you are buying bottled water that is labeled Alkaline you could very easily just be drinking expensive baking soda water. Alkaline water has little to none proven health benefits.

Alkalized Water has gone through an ELECTRICAL change, through the process of electrolysis. This process produces alkaline ionized water from the natural chemistry of water, without having to add additional chemicals or synthetic compounds.

“Alkaline Bottled Water” Exposed

Many companies are catching on to the alkaline lifestyle that is becoming more and more prevalent through out the world. Thanks to the internet and various other sources, people are taking grasp of their own health and deciding what substances are acceptable for their bodies. Just like I mentioned above, bottled water companies love false advertising. Bottled water companies that are claiming their water is “alkaline” is simply false advertising. There is no scientific way that bottled water can remain alkalized within a bottle for more than 4-5 days. This means that even though these alkaline bottles of water were maybe once truly alkaline, by the time they reach a shelf in a market, the water is no longer what it claims to be. And if is, its probably full of chemical additives and synthetic minerals. Alkaline water cannot possess the same negative ORP value that is achieved with Alkalized water made with Kangen machine, it simply has a higher pH. There are many different ways to make alkaline water, but none of these have health benefits and some are even dangerous. Baking soda and other chemicals are typically added to raise the pH of this marketed “alkaline” water. This causes many problems because consuming too much making soda leads to the formation of kidney stones and more serious health problems. (source)
